What did you think of the movie?
Seeing how far technology has come since 1957, when Sputnik was launched, we can conclude that technology will continue to develop and change our world. Further, as a whole technology is good, however, if used incorrectly it can have very negative affects on society and the world. How can we make sure that technology is used in the right ways and be responsible "digital citizens"?

What we can do to make sure technology is used in the right way is that we should make tools that will help us and people teach us how to use it right instead of not teaching us how to use technology so we do it wrong.

We can be good digital citizens by making sure that we don't post bad things on sites. Such as personal things, things that we shouldn't be sharing with the world.

We should not just use techonology right away but we should make sure we are using it in the right way. Yes i thinkk technology will continue to grow. And yes i think we will use it for the right reasons and the right way. Technology is i in our every day lives and we couldnt live without technology in our lives.

ReplyDeleteI thought the movie was cool and entertaining to watch and I liked it a lot. I think that our technology has changed a lot but seeing that the math that they used back then is probably similar to the complex formulas we use today. I think that we can make technology used in the right way and by setting laws and standards. I think that we should have laws against things that technology should not be used for and that we should set standards for how we use the technology also. We can also be digital citizens by following these laws and standards, we should not disobey these laws or try to find ways around them. Technology is a very complex world and we must respect that.

ReplyDeleteI thought that October Sky was a good movie. It was inspiring how Homer, who had nothing and no support turned into a rocket engineer. He was so dedicated that he took a risk: he gave up his social life, dropped out of school for a while, and did everything he could possibly to know more about rockets.

We can make sure that technology is used right by understanding how to use it. Also, we need to know right from wrong. We can be responsible "digital citzens" by really thinking about what we put online. We should think "What if my family was viewing this?" We have to look at what we are putting up and not just what is on out mind at that moment.

ReplyDeleteThis movie was interesting because it's not the typical kind of movie. It was raw and based on a true story. We can make sure that techonology is used in the right ways by learning which sites will be educational to us. Often times, I think that when we use techonology we go to sites that, when they're used a lot, are pointless to us. We should at least know one site that can be helpful for us in the future.
